Arvind Ethan David, author and narrator of Douglas Adams: The Ends of the Earth, is a writer and producer, whose career started when he adapted the Douglas Adams novel Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency as his high school play, and the great author came to see it and took David under his wing.

As an author, David has written seven graphic novels, most recently an adaptation of Raymond Chandler’s Trouble Is My Business for Pantheon Books. He is currently writing his mystery novel The Dread & The Envy which will be released in 2026 by Amazon Publishing’s Thomas & Mercer.

In audio, David has written multiple hit Audible Originals including the sci-fi anthology series Earworms and The Crimes of Dorian Gray, his take on the Oscar Wilde classic. 

In theater, David is a lead producer of the Grammy and Tony-winning musical Jagged Little Pill, which ran on Broadway and around the world. The Boy With Wings, David’s children’s musical based on the best-selling books by Sir Lenny Henry, opens at the Polka Theatre in London in June 2025 and he is co-writing and producing a live adaptation of the Douglas Adams masterwork The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy which will open in London in November 2025.
